About the Role We are seeking a talented and motivated Linux System Administrator to join our team that is developing a unified monitoring solutions software from the scratch. The successful candidate is passionate about gaining knowledge about monitoring solutions and curious to learn new technologies, programming languages, and system operations. The role will include planning, configuring, and optimizing Linux-based network and system solutions. This role will be based in Dubai, UAE. Responsibilities

Collaborating with software developers and other IT teams to design, develop, test, and deploy Linux-based software applications and systems. Setting up and maintaining development environments and tools, including source code management, build systems, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Managing and configuring Linux-based servers and services for application development and testing, such as web servers, databases, and application servers. Implementing and maintaining network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures. Configuring and managing virtualized environments and containers, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to support development and testing. Monitoring system logs and performance metrics to ensure systems are running efficiently and to identify issues that may impact software development. Ensuring the security of development environments, including access control, firewalls, and vulnerability assessments. Collaborating with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Linux-based software stack. Ensuring compliance with software development best practices, including version control, documentation, and testing. Staying up-to-date with the latest Linux-based technologies and tools used in software development to ensure systems are secure and efficient.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science. Over 5+ years of experience in IT Software Support, and Linux System Administration. Strong knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RHEL/Debian/Ubuntu) systems and Shell scripting knowledge. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go/Golang. Extensive troubleshooting and support experience on ELK stack in large environments having multiple elastic search clusters is an advantage. Understanding of Automation tools and Network Monitoring protocols like SNMP. Worked on GitHub, Jenkins, and Ansible. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse and cross-functional teams.
