About the team

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Software Developer Intern to join our close-knit team of conscientious, well-rounded developers. We are a group who constantly strives to improve our processes and ourselves, and we pride ourselves in producing quality code that follows best practices. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from mature developers on meaningful projects and gain invaluable experience as you work.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP CX Commerce Intern – Software Developer

Location: Boulder, CO – please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

Expected start date to end date: April, 2023 – April, 2024

Contract Duration: 12 months

In this role, you’ll:

Work closely with back-end Java developers to advance our enterprise, on-premise products as well as cloud native microservice architectures
Contribute to an e-commerce focused data integration product using Git, Maven, Java, Junit, Spring Framework (Spring Core, Spring Data, Spring Integration, Spring Security) and OData
Be an active member of self-empowered teams producing software using Agile methods and practices and engineering-driven decisions
Be technically proactive, contributing to the team effort with innovative and creative ideas
Participate in peer code reviews to adhere to best practices and standards
Be at the forefront of enterprise e-commerce software development

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

A student currently enrolled in a bachelor, master or JD/PhD program or within six months of having already graduated
Have good verbal and written English
Have experience with the Java programming language
Have experience with relational databases and SQL
Be comfortable working in highly collaborative, dynamic work environment
Have a passion for delivering high-quality, fully tested code
Experience collaborating very closely with others in an Agile team environment
Ideally, have experience using Git, Maven, and developing Java applications using the Spring framework

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 28-52 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
