EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, a creative problem solver, resourceful in getting things to work and able to work independently or collaboratively. As a Application Developer, you will be involved in building new features, enhancing existing features with a focus on performance. You will work with a diverse team of colleagues located across the globe. As an Application Developer in the scrum team, you will

Develop full-stack product features based on customer and business requirements
Work in a cross-functional product team with end-to-end product responsibility
Contribute to one or more software components and their full lifecycle from development over test automation up to production deployment and monitoring
Be required to dig deep into the code to deliver a highly optimized & performant product to our customers worldwide
Participate in design sessions with Senior Developers and other team members
Maintain, improve, and refactor the product and test large and complex code base.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related technical discipline.
Passion for software products, code & tech, agile values & practices as well as people
Comfortable with fast iterations, clean code, test driven development, refactoring, pair programming, pragmatic development approaches and fail-fast attitude
Deep experience in Object-Oriented Design, with a pragmatic understanding of common patterns, the problems they solve, applicability, and associated trade-offs
Good understanding of SOLID principles, with a demonstrated passion for pragmatic, maintainable solutions
In-depth experience with a significant number of the technologies like: Serverless computing, TypeScript/NodeJS, Kubernetes, Dockers and others
Experience with:
Microservice & message-driven architectures
Building and operating secure web and cloud enterprise applications
DevOps technologies and CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of TDD and experience writing unit test cases and End-to-End-testing.
Knowledge of browser-based debugging tools (eg: Chrome dev tools)
Understanding of REST APIs and how to consume them.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and have a positive self-motivated can-do attitude
Good verbal and written communication skills

WORK EXPERIENCE

2 to 3 years of experience in designing and programming web/cloud-based applications.

Please Note: SAP has implemented temporary changes to SAP’s internal transfer policy applicable to transfer offers made on or after August 1, 2022 and effective globally within SAP except in the following countries, where the new compensation is still effective as of the transfer date: Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic due Workers Council agreements or country laws. The policy change provides that if transfer offer includes a change in compensation, such change will be effective as of January 1, 2023 without retroactive application, regardless of the transfer start date. The successful candidate will continue to receive their current compensation until December 31,2022 assuming they remain in the role, and will remain eligible for the 2023 annual salary review in its ordinary timing.
