About SAP VT/STAR Program
The Vocational Training Program is a unique opportunity to combine academic study with industry experience with SAP, the world’s leading business software provider. This program will kick start students’ careers by giving them an opportunity to put their academic studies to immediate use in industry. The wide-ranging program of studies provides for students an opportunity to develop themselves personally and professionally. Upon completion of your studies, you can consider employment in almost any area of the company. As an intern you are part of global Vocational Training (VT) / Student Training and Rotation (STAR) program. We are located in 14 countries with approx. 1,300 students.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below.
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Business, International Logistics, or related disciplines
- Will be graduated in Feb. 2025, Aug. 2025, or Feb. 2026 (Is a Must)
- Excellent problem-solving skills, growth mindset, can do/make it happen attitude, open minded, ability to manage pressure
- A self-directed learner to further develop stakeholder focus, intercultural sensitivity, result driving and business acumen through the program
- Adaptable, willing to work on complex challenges, resilient, resourceful, good communication skill, innovative, empathetic and a team collaborative player
- Has a passion and interest in developing a career in tech and with us
- Fluent communication skills in English
- Intern experience in IT Industry, SAP product knowledge or previous SAP ecosystem intern experience is a plus
PERSPECTIVES:
SAP Korea's Vocational Training Program provides an extensive array of opportunities for continual learning and career advancement. Notably, the program includes a ‘rotation’ system that allows you to participate in three different projects or teams within the organization. This facilitation of diverse experiences is designed for an enriching and comprehensive understanding of the business environment, which in turn promotes both personal and professional development among students. If you are selected, your first field of rotation is Services Sales.
Services Sales is accountable for the new client business development and relationship management or growing existing accounts by originating, managing and closing up-sell/cross-sell opportunities and orchestrating outcome-based delivery execution. It has significant influence on the development and growth of strategic new Services business and develops and maintains effective strategic relationships in assigned account(s). They are also accountable to ensure business growth through business development activities and ensure they are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. Accountable for the sales or/and delivery activities for the assigned client/s. Represents the Services organization from a sales and business development perspective and is a key contributor to the overall success of the customer and partner relationships.
The Services Account Executive has influence on the development and growth of new Services business and develops and maintains effective relationships with customer stakeholders in assigned account(s). They are a key team member active to ensure business growth through business development activities and ensure they are delivered in accordance with the organizational strategy. This role represents the SAP Services organization from a sales and business development perspective and is a key contributor to the overall success of the customer and partner relationships. This is a business development role and is expected to generate qualified opportunities based on holistic understanding of customer challenges, establishing and developing the SAP Services footprint within their assigned accounts(s).
That’s where YOU come in.
As a VT/STAR student, you will be responsible to:
- Successfully complete an 18-month program that strengthens a foundation for a successful customer-facing career at SAP.
- Participate in experiential learning opportunities and acquire a wide variety of business, industry and SAP solution skills while working with emerging and cutting-edge technologies.
- Receive on-the-job training under the mentorship of a senior Sales or Solution Advisor colleague while working with our customers to gain real world experience and acquire the skills necessary to help guide our customers through their Digital Transformation journey.
The program will enrich your knowledge of SAP as well as give you the professional experience to be ready to serve our customers. Your official start date at SAP is 1st of July 2024 and the total program period is 1 year 6 months. During your semester break, you will work full-time(40 hours per week) at SAP. During the semester, you will work on part-time (20 hours per week) or full-time at the company. You will be able to schedule your working time flexibly in accordance with your university schedule and the requirements of your department. You can apply for permanent positions after the completion of your studies and after half-completing this program(9 months), either in one of our business teams or in one of our graduate or Academy programs. If you get accepted, you can be converted into permanent employee by completing this program earlier than 18 months.
SAP provides maximum support for internships through the university-operated field practicum program(대학 현장실습 프로그램/학점인정 프로그램), allowing you to earn university credit.
