YOUR FUTURE ROLE
The SAP Government Security unit is looking for a Government Security Director who will manage security projects and contribute to the expansion of capabilities that address the unique requirements of security-sensitive organizations across public sector and regulated industry in Saudi Arabia. You will build strong relationships with government authorities and collaborate with customer security teams, internal employees and partners to establish a shared understanding of requirements, support customer engagements and deliver projects. You will be accountable for ensuring strict compliance with applicable government regulations and unique customer security requirements and will implement security projects either as a project lead or as an individual contributor on a matrixed delivery team.
Core responsibilities include:
- Expand SAP Saudi Arabia’s capabilities for handling Protected and Sensitive government information.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies at the local and national levels.
- Monitor legislative and policy developments with an impact on national security and provide timely analysis and recommendations.
- Provide expert knowledge, advice, and guidance concerning Government Security regulations and controls such as Essential Cybersecurity Controls and Cybersecurity Controls for Cloud Computing.
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation critical to ensuring government security compliance and accreditation.
- Maintain internal reporting and ensure employees receive mandatory security briefings.
- Coordinate and participate in industry forums to advance shared best practices and goals in national security.
- Be a member of SAP MENA’s Government Security team.

YOUR PROFILE
You are a self-starting, resilient, goal-oriented individual eager to learn and contribute on a broader team. You embody a positive can-do attitude, are team oriented, open minded, always curious and have a passion for solving problems. You like to work on meaningful projects and are energized by working across diverse teams. You have an interest in learning about security and compliance in a global company that is enabling some of the most security-conscious organizations in the world.
- Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, International Affairs, or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience
- Proven experience in government relations, government security regulations, or a related field
- Strong understanding of government processes, regulations, and political landscapes
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, both written and verbal
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal initiative
- Significant experience delivering technology projects
- Experience with IaaS/PaaS cloud technology such as OpenStack, AWS, Google or Azure
- Experience working with classified systems in the past five years
- Significant experience implementing and/or managing security controls
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- A propensity to collaborate and work on a team
- Knowledge of government security regulations outside Saudi Arabia is an asset
- The successful candidate must have the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Saudi National is a plus
Language

The SAP Government Security unit is part of the SAP CEO Board Area and has a mandate to ensure strict fulfillment of regulatory obligations in the context of various contract security programs world-wide. The SAP Government Security team focuses on obligations and risks associated with federal, provincial, municipal, and highly regulated industry customers with special security requirements.
