The VP Portfolio and Customer Adoption Marketing, as part of the North American Field Marketing organization, manages a team which has responsibility for local marketing strategies and plans related to the SAP line of business (LOB) portfolio of solutions. This position will lead the development and implementation of SAP’s marketing strategy in support of the region’s pipeline and revenue objectives. The role will have a heavy focus on demand generation, pipeline progression and customer adoption marketing.
This team has deep market knowledge and is relied on for input to the global marketing planning process. The team is then responsible for extending the global Integrated Demand Programs into the region, and building out localized marketing motions for relevant audiences, industries, and market units – with partners as appropriate – in support of the business. Success is measured against defined funnel, pipeline and revenue targets, including renewals. The team is also a key liaison with both the Customer Success and Cloud Success Services teams in North America and manages these critical stakeholder communication and relationships.
The ideal leader, therefore, must demonstrate the capability to partner closely with executive stakeholders across the organization, drive the marketing strategy from vision to execution, and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment where change is a daily reality. They must have experience in managing complex budgets, and ensuring business processes are optimized. The candidate must be data driven, outcome focused, and possess a strong orientation in driving change management and transformation.
The preferred candidate would:
- Have experience leading high-performing teams.
- Have experience in marketing cloud business solutions to Line of Business audiences.
- Have experience developing and managing an integrated plan that includes inbound and outbound marketing program elements.
- Be performance driven and have experience with marketing funnel performance and optimization.
- Possess strong stakeholder management skills and field experience.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree, 10+ years integrated marketing experience in support of pipeline, revenue and renewals
- 10+ years B2B or B2C digital high-tech marketing experience
- 5+ years of people management experience preferred
- Working familiarity with multiple digital demand channels and their applicability within a demand plan
- Proficiency with marketing automation tools and their application for demand management
- Strong collaboration and executive stakeholder management skills
