Sr. DevOps Engineering ensures that SAP NS2s services, both internally and externally visible systems, have reliability and uptime appropriate to customers’ needs in addition to a fast rate of improvement while maintaining an ever-watchful eye on security, capacity, and performance.
Sr. DevOp Engineers majority work is to focus on optimizing existing systems, building secure cloud infrastructure, and eliminating work through automation. As Automation Engineers are responsible for the broad picture of how our various SaaS and PaaS products relate to each other, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad spectrum of problems. Post-mortem and proactive identification of potential issues factor into iterative improvement.

Responsibilities:
Engage in and improve the complete lifecycle of services inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
Support services before they go live through the process of developing automation, developing security frameworks, and planning continuous delivery cycles.
Maintain services that are live by helping to measure and monitor availability, security, and overall system health.
Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes in reliability, security, and velocity.
Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
Experience developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
Conduct root cause analysis and implement continuous improvements.
Experience in developing and implementing testing strategies and documenting results
Work in a diverse environment and cross-train with other global team members.
Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience with at least 10+ years of applicable experience
- Expertise with source code management such as SVN, GitHub or GitLab.
- Experience deploying high-volume applications in Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure using automation.
- Strong Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
- Experience in security fundamentals for SaaS Multitenant Solution.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Expert understanding of web services, networking, virtualization, and internet protocols
- Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines, and changing priorities
- FedRAMP security fundamentals
Preferred qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience with Java/J2EE, JSP, Struts, AJAX, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, CSS and Microsoft SQL Server.
- 5-7 years of experience with micro-kernel and container technologies, Nano, vSphere Integrated Containers, and Docker.
- 5-7 years of experience with Web Service Deployment.
- 5-7 years of experience with AWS Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, ACM, KMS, and VPC.
- 5-7 years of experience with automation orchestration and configuration management tools such as Chef/Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD and Jenkins/Concourse.
- 5-7 years of experience with infrastructure as code environments, including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing.
- 5-7 years of experience with monitoring tools like Splunk, SumoLogic, and Dynatrace.
- Experience with Fieldglass
- Exposure to and understanding of troubleshooting IP networks and application stacks.
- Ability to work with distributed teams collaboratively and productively.
- Evaluate new technology options and vendor products
- Ensuring critical system security through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, design, architecture, decision making, and communication skills.
- Self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities
- Experience with Cloud Foundry
