Summary
SAP Lumira Designer and Lumira Server are key products in the Business Intelligence On Premise portfolio. Lumira Designer allows for intuitive design of centrally governable analytic content ranging from guided analytics to sophisticated OLAP applications and aggregated dashboards. Lumira Server allows Designer content to be hosted on the Business Objects Platform.
Expectations and Tasks
Planning & Analytics is a branch of the Technology & Innovation board area of SAP focused on achieving operational excellence in enterprises through the use of data. As the world’s biggest supplier of BI systems, SAP ensure that companies can efficiently manage staff and resources through the use of analytics and reporting.
The newly formed Bangalore Lumira team will be responsible for the maintenance and evolution of the On Premise product Lumira Designer in line with Business Objects Platform 2025. The team will ultimately have sole global responsibility for the Lumira product from 2025.
This new development team is currently seeking a Senior Quality Specialist to lead the quality initiatives for Lumira Designer and Server. You will work closely with the Lumira development team and align with the Business Intelligence Platform team. Experience of SAP products and in particular Lumira would be an advantage.
Main responsibilities include the following:
- Definition and execution of functional or technical tests depending on QA role
- Creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Liaising with development leads to specify test objectives.
- Promoting the quality agenda within the team
- Working to ensure adherence to SAP quality standards and processes.
- Communicate proactively, precisely & accurately.
- Interact with colleagues in a highly international environment.
- Demonstrated problem solving and solution building skills as well as the initiative to deliver results.
- Partnering with the support organization to resolve customer issues.
- Managing the expectations of customers, de-escalation of issues.
- Close collaboration with the Business Intelligence Platform team.
- You value teamwork and have excellent collaboration skills.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 3 years’ experience for specialists, 8 years for senior specialists
- Experience of working in a cross-functional team
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical landscapes.
- Experience working within Agile team.
- Experience working with agile software development methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of some or all of the following: Git, Perforce, Jenkins, Selenium, QTP, JUnit, JMeter
