What You'll Do
As a (Senior) HR Payroll Specialist (f/m/d), your primary duty will be to ensure accurate and punctual payroll processing for all entities across Germany. Your role will be pivotal in both global and local projects aimed at enhancing our systems, services and processes.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Execute Payroll processing and reporting procedures as well as subsequent activities to ensure timely payment of SAP employees and compliance with country specific statutory regulations and business frameworks.
- Providing expert advice to customers, stakeholders, peers and managers on a range of issues, particularly those relating to local laws, policies and country-specific topics.
- Serving as the primary point of escalation for non-standard cases and processes.
- Developing evaluations and reports to appease legal requisites and distinguish internal and external audit stakeholders.
- Collaborating with external authorities and third parties.
- Monitoring critical audit points of payroll transaction services to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Implementing standard global processes and controls, with adaptability to accommodate local payroll calendars, policies and legislative regulations.
What You Bring
Qualified candidates will possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience in payroll administration.
- Mandatory working knowledge of German payroll law, practices and procedures.
- SAP payroll system knowledge (HCM).
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and German.
- Proven experience in an HR customer-oriented environment is mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- A university degree or a comparable level of education/experience in Payroll Accounting, Business or Human Resources Administration is preferable.

Our team members are skilled users of the SAP HCM payroll system and are committed to delivering the best HR customer service. We believe in multilingual communication; hence proficiency in English and German is a necessity in our team. Advanced knowledge in MS Office applications is another common thread in our team as we emphasize efficient and effective communication. We also value education within our ranks, with team members holding degrees in Payroll Accounting, Business and Human Resources Administration, or possessing commensurate experience in these areas. Additional information: the role is limited as a team member is on maternity/parental leave. We are open for part-time work with at least 75% / 30 working hours per week.
