The SAP Design team defines the core design systems for SAP’s products, partnering with design teams across all SAP solution areas. We have dramatically simplified our user experience with SAP Fiori (https://experience.sap.com/fiori) and expanded the SAP Fiori design system across multiple design languages for web, iOS, Android and conversational experiences. We are now looking for you as a passionate designer to join us in thriving for best-in-class enterprise UX and making a significant contribution to the evolution of our SAP Fiori for iOS and Android mobile design languages. We are on a mission to redefine the user experience of SAP’s mobile applications and you can join SAP Design in driving this transition.
As a UX Designer in the SAP Fiori mobile team, you will work on UX concepts for Android business applications. You ensure the relevance of your designs working closely with application and development teams within SAP and exposing concepts and designs to customers and end users for feedback. You are passionate about mobile user experience design and focused on end-user needs. You will specify and communicate new design concepts to evolve the SDKs of SAP Fiori for Android. Abstracting and generalizing requirements from various use cases is necessary to ensure the relevance and scalability of your design solutions. One key task is the preparation of specifications and enablement assets (e. g. design guideline articles, UI Kit) for mobile components.
You feel responsible for your work and accompany your concepts throughout the development life cycle, and you are continuously broadening your skillset on design methodologies, technologies, upcoming trends, and business scenarios. You will become part of an exciting and international design team of about 100 designers that works in the heart of SAP, operating across organizational boundaries with touch points to all continents, cultures, and product areas.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
· Proven track record in user experience design (application design or system/component design)
· Experience in mobile design for Google Material Design
· Experience in design for AI
· Strong visual and interaction design skills
· You have a stunning portfolio that displays a spectrum of creative design solutions
· Excellent understanding of design principles and human interaction principles
· Experience in applying human-centered design methods and working with development teams
· You can visualize design concepts in a clear, structured, and compelling way
· Verification of user interface designs through reviews, validations, and user testing
· You have good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
· Ability and motivation to work in a diverse and global team
· Experience in international teams is a plus
· Strong skills in Figma
· Skills in prototyping is a plus
· You are fluent in English (spoken and written)
· You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, information technology, or a related field
· 1 to 2 years SAP internship/work experience
