SAP aims to develop an Open Reference Architecture (ORA) for a secure and sustainable cloud edge infrastructure that includes intelligent optimization methods for data transparency and security. This reference infrastructure, aspired by the EU IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest – Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services) program, shall be the basis for future software development and a prerequisite for a pan-European cloud edge infrastructure.
SAP will be working on the publicly funded project with both experienced employees from its existing workforce but also new hires. Therefore, we are looking for suitable candidates. If you are interested in Cloud Operating System development and operation, the usage and further development of Open-Source solutions and standards, interoperability, efficiency, and sustainability you should consider applying.
The ORA Cockpit is a key deliverable in this program, providing an extensible UI platform with micro-frontend architecture and a central authentication and authorization service. As one of the integration drivers, it will enable e2e user flows with a streamlined user experience across the project's individual components. The work will be highly visible in communication with external stakeholders to demonstrate the overall ORA capabilities and is planned to be released and developed as an open-source contribution.
What you’ll do as Product Expert (f/m/d)
- Shape the product vision for ORA Cockpit and e2e scenarios in close alignment with all stakeholders
- Collaborate with product owners and to ensure that ORA Cockpit is delivered with the right scope, in time, quality and budget
- Take ownership of the open-source project and community engagement
What you bring
- Experience in a cloud application development environment
- Ability to drive the product vision
- Proficiency in product discovery techniques and working with user research
- Competence in prioritizing product features based on value and feasibility
- Great stakeholder management skills and experience in leading through influence
- Experience in large-scale agile or lean product development methodologies, working with diverse, distributed teams and contributors
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong decision-making skills, balancing competing priorities and making informed choices
- University degree or similar qualification in technical or business stream
- Experience with UI portal development and OSS is a plus
