The Firestarters Community is a global industry-focused business community. The community is primarily for business leaders and practitioners where content and events focus on industry and business outcomes. The community is administered by SAP’s CX Advisory organization.
In this role, you will support creative, marketing, and administration of the community and assist in developing tools and tactics to grow the community on a global scale. This is a unique opportunity to explore innovative ideas for content development, promotion and other emerging digital strategies to engage audiences.
The candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, global team environment and will finish the program having gained broad experience in various aspects of business, including marketing, social media, communications and project management.

The right qualifications for the role:
- Experience in graphic design, digital content development, and content management (e.g., content formatting, content structuring for reuse, search engine optimization – SEO, and HTML).
- Experience with marketing and tactics for community growth.
- Design experience to build professional POV documents, marketing campaigns and social media posts.
- Proven blog writing, copywriting and editing skills.
- Experience with creating and syndicating multiple forms of content across channels e.g., social media, blogs, videos, working with SEO, etc.
- Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple, jargon-free language.
- Ability to track and report on marketing results (e.g., views, engagement, signups, etc.) and experience with marketing analytics dashboards.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing or Business.
- Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, creative software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Figma), SEO technology (e.g., SEMRush), Analytics (e.g., social media analytics, Emarsys Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag, Google Looker, LinkedIn Page Administration, Qualtrics).
- Experience using a marketing automation provider (e.g., Emarsys), for emails, SMS.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead content creation, editing, SEO, marketing and promotion of articles and event promotion for the community on various channels, including but not limited to web, email newsletters and social media posts and videos (e.g., LinkedIn).
- Lead the creation and distribution of email campaigns, web promotion, etc. through Emarsys and publishing relationships with other internal teams.
- Design, format and edit best practice thought leadership report content (copywriting, imagery, graphics).
- Upload thought leadership content to digital library with keyword optimization.
- Develop, maintain, and assist in the execution of a promotion calendar to drive community engagement.
- Assist with bi-monthly Firestarters virtual and on-site event planning & execution.
- Prepare presentations for internal teams to provide updates on marketing, process updates and results.
- Provide guidance and expertise on social media efforts and content strategy to create efficiencies and optimize performance.
- Monitor online forums and publications for business-to-businsess industry trending topics to utilize in thought leadership articles and on social media channels.
- Monitor SEMRush for competitor activity and to discover opportunities for content SEO and untapped content topic development
