What you'll do
Overview:
SAP, a global leader in enterprise software, is seeking a dedicated and tech-savvy working student to join our SAP BTP Cloud Foundry Landscape team based in Walldorf. This position offers a unique opportunity to dive into the world of DevOps, cloud technologies, and big data analytics. You will be playing a crucial role in supporting our DevOps Engineers by developing tools, managing data workflows, and creating insightful dashboards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Development: Assist in designing and developing tools using Python or Go, tailored to enhance the efficiency and functionality of our Cloud Foundry Landscape. Your contribution will be instrumental in automating processes and improving our service offerings.
- Data Management: Take charge of collecting, processing, and managing data. This includes writing data to InfluxDB, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining a streamlined data pipeline.
- Data Visualization: Create and maintain Grafana dashboards. Your role involves consuming data from InfluxDB and transforming it into compelling, easy-to-understand visual representations. These dashboards will aid in decision-making and provide valuable insights into our systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps Engineers and other team members to understand requirements, brainstorm solutions, and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, data analytics, and software development. Actively seek and incorporate feedback to continuously improve your skills and the quality of your work.
What you bring
Educational Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A strong academic record, with a focus on software development, data management, or cloud technologies.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python or Go is essential. Your ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code will be key to your success in this role.
- Understanding of Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably SAP BTP or Cloud Foundry, is highly beneficial.
- Database Management: Experience with InfluxDB or similar time-series databases. Ability to handle large datasets and perform complex queries.
- Data Visualization: Experience with Grafana or similar tools for creating dashboards and visual representations of data.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think creatively and propose innovative solutions.
- Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills. The role requires close collaboration with team members and other departments.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required. German language skills are a plus.
