About the job
As a Quality Engineer at Aspire, you will develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. You will be an integral part of our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs while being cost effective.
What you’ll do
- Prepare and execute detailed test scripts based on requirements, validate results, and document defects.
- Test system behavior through positive, negative, and regression test cases, and document results.
- Identify and resolve field/format/value errors during testing cycles, coordinating with technical teams.
- Collaborate with Test Lead, technical teams, and other stakeholders to understand testing requirements.
- Report and escalate issues for timely resolution and interface certification.
- Compile and document test results, maintaining issue logs and defect tracker.
- Monitor defects and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
- Execute test cycles within agreed timelines and as per the test plan.
- Ensure zero errors before implementing interfaces in production.
- Maintain key relationships with Testing Team, Products Team, Delivery Team, etc.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field.
- 3+ experience in software testing, including hands-on experience in Web and Mobile testing.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Cards and Payments domain
- Technical knowledge of testing tools such as Way4 Test Generator, Product Inspector, Soap UI, Postman, ILIAD, MC, Visa simulators, etc.
- Hands-on experience in testing NI applications like Way4, DataMart, Falcon, Card Control, PCMS, DCMS, etc.
- Experience in Systems integration testing using ISO 8583/87, ISO 8583/93, NDC/DDC protocols
- Experience in Payment scheme certifications
- Experience in Systems Integration Testing of web services and XML interfaces using tools like SOAPUI, POSTMAN, etc.
- Testing experience in Card Management platforms and switches.
- Familiarity with Test simulators such as ILIAD, MasterCard simulator, Visa Simulator, FinSim, etc.
- Experience in validating settlements and reconciliation of financial files.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Agile testing approaches (TDD, BDD, ATDD).
- Preferred prior experience in Data migration, Mapping, and Data validations.
- Presentable, well-groomed, articulate, trustworthy, and proficient in professional etiquette.
