We are seeking a Product Manager who is passionate about building products that customers love. You will work with a cross-functional team to further assist in the designing and building SAP Midmarket product bundles that contribute to achieving the company’s Midmarket vision and strategy. The Midmarket customer segment is an exciting new customer acquisition engine for SAP. Midmarket refers to accounts with a global revenue range of €250 million to €1 billion.
Key Responsibilities:
The Product Manager will assist in translating the SAP Midmarket strategy into a cohesive, audience-centric go-to-market approach. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for defining the pricing, positioning, distribution model (direct, indirect, self-service), along with the free trial strategy and execution plan for product bundles that span the SAP portfolio and industry segments.
To be effective in this role, you will need to leverage your strong execution skills, business acumen, and ability to navigate a matrixed organization structure. Curiosity, working with ambiguity, and drive for results are also key. You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including, solution management, pricing/monetization, sales/customer success, finance, corporate marketing, field marketing, and operations. Prior experience defining and building product-led growth (PLG) or free-trial go-to-market motions as part of product distribution strategy that includes direct, partner, and self-service channels.
Market & Business Situation
- Learn the market fundamentals, competitive landscape, whitespace, and global business objectives.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the customer experience to generate innovative ideas that increase market share, improve customer experience, and drive revenue growth.
- Leverage internal and external data to make informed recommendations for the product bundle portfolio strategies.
Portfolio Strategy
- Assist in product pricing and positioning strategies that resonates with the Midmarket customer segmentation.
- Define distribution models, including direct, indirect, and self-self, to optimize market penetration and reach.
- Drive the execution of free trials models to ease access.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on the potential business impact and relevance to customer.
Execution
- Develop clear and compelling product messaging and positioning that resonates with the Midmarket customer segment and effectively communicate the value of our solutions.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships with peers, cross-functional teams, and leadership to deliver results.
- Maintain transparent communication of product progress, updates, and changes to key stakeholders within SAP, fostering alignment ongoing support.
- Secure buy-in with both internally and with external partners to drive alignment and support.
- Analyze data and the performance of bundle solutions to refine the pricing, positioning, distribution models and free trials development and strategy.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Minimum 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in product/solution management or product/solution marketing
- Action-oriented experience in project leadership, especially with medium to large-scaled projects.
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA optional.
- Relevant domain experience in B2B technology, software-as-a-service (SaaS), and product-led growth (PLG) business models.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, and strong ability to interpret market data and customer feedback.
- Some demonstrated success working on pricing, positioning, messaging, distribution models, and free trials areas.
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
- Flexibility and willingness to prioritize and effectively manage a broad variety of time sensitive products and initiatives.
- Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills including influencing leadership decisions.
- Cultural awareness and ability to accommodate different time zones.

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 117.100-243,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
