About the team
We are looking for a motivated student who is interested in joining our Connection Management team which is part of the SAP Datasphere product development organization. SAP Datasphere is the next generation of SAP Data Warehouse Cloud which enables data professionals to easily distribute mission-critical business data across their organization’s data landscape.
What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP Datasphere iXp Intern (f/m/d) – Connection Management – Developer
Work Area: Software-Design and Development
Location: Walldorf (remote work possible within Germany)
Expected start date: February, 2024
In this role, you’ll:
- Work in an international team at the heart of SAP Datasphere which builds cloud services for establishing connections to remote systems
- Work on front-end and back-end development tasks using cloud native technologies
- Assist in developing an extensible user interface with a model-view-controller pattern
- Help to improve observability of the service by introducing and enhancing metrics and alerts
- Learn how to write clean, robust and readable code in an enterprise context
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure a high-level of software quality and to avoid regressions
- Participate in daily stand-up meetings, planning, review, and other SCRUM meetings to collaborate with your team colleagues and stakeholders
Who you are:
You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- Self-organized, team player, curious with a creative mindset
- Programming skills in one or more of Python, Typescript, Go, Java, C/C++
- Basic working knowledge with Linux
- Experience with state-of-the-art development tools – Git, Github, Jira is helpful
- Knowledge in cloud development is beneficial
- Prior work experience in software-engineering projects is a plus
- Fluent in English - both written and verbal, German is a plus
