Job Title: Quality Specialist
Location: Plano, TX
Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Quality Specialist at our Plano, TX location to debug software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for SAP software.
Expectations and Tasks:
Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Analyzes, defines, implements and executes quality and test related activities according to a given quality- and test strategy for the product area. Creates a detailed test design including test system landscape requirements and product standards, prepares tests (customizing and master data), authors and executes manual and/or automated tests. Analyzes test results (issues) and takes appropriate follow-up actions. Is subject matter expert in the team in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods and tools.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 2 years in the following:
- Software testing, content testing, functional testing, integration and regression testing, and TFS;
- Presenting technical solutions to senior management;
- Test automation skills with Java, Junit, Selenium, TestNG, script, and Jenkins;
- Java Programming with TestNG and POM;
- Cucumber and Gherkin in QAF BDD Editor;
- SQL;
- Apache POI APIs; and
- QTP with VBscript.
Travel: N/A. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $ 108,202 - $ 155,790. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $ 108,202 - $ 174,800. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
