Job Title: Business Processes Principal Consultant
Location: Plano, TX
Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Principal Consultant at our Plano, TX location to drive business consulting by translating the customer’s vision into solutions.
Expectations and Tasks:
Map business processes to solution requirements. Champion and lead disruptive business innovation. Provide thought leadership around the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Drive change management to achieve business transformation objectives. Support end-to-end solution design and configuration across all relevant solutions (on-premise, cloud and hybrid), applying state-of-the-art methodologies and standards. Plan transitions of customer solution landscapes. Drive deployment of best practice business processes for specific LoBs. Support pre-sales activities. Perform solution reviews and feasibility studies. Occasionally assume responsibility as a (sub-) project lead or team lead for a service delivery. Support line manager(s) in people development tasks. Deliver customer workshops and trainings. Support in partner-led projects to ensure ecosystem and customer success. Introduce SAP and industry leading practices for complex business requirements based on experience. Drive the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas; can be owner of a service and/or initiate updates to the portfolio. Drive the creation of templates, common practices and supporting service delivery artifacts in order to optimize business processes.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 5 years in the following:
- Requirements gathering, Blueprint, Design and Build business intelligence solutions;
- Enterprise reporting solutions including BusinessObjects (BOBJ) and their integration into client solutions;
- Enable client transition to digital landscape leveraging cloud analytics (SaaS) within their reporting portfolio;
- Architectural solutioning and design principles for cloud-based reporting and analytics;
- Data migration leveraging Data Services and best practices;
- Relational databases including Columnar and Hierarchical databases;
- HANA data design and modelling in HANA studio and web IDE along with Smart Data Integration; and
- Technical training and deployment of analytics resources.
Travel: Up to 60% domestic travel required to various and unanticipated client sites. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $126,402 - $198,560. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $146,000 - $248,200. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
