On-Demand Technical Implementation Lead

Duties and Responsibilities
Practice Development
· The On-Demand Technical Implementation Lead will assist with most aspects of an Ariba OnDemand implementation including (but not limited to): solutions design, business rule development, user interface configuration and customization, external system integration, technical / end-user training and project management.
· Drive “best in class” business processes implementation on SAP Ariba cloud solution
· The On-Demand Technical Implementation Lead will assist the customer with data extraction from their existing systems, ensuring adherence to data specifications, and resulting in successful integration with Ariba OnDemand Solutions.
· Also influence the opinions and decisions of clients leveraging proven best practices
· Act as a liaison between the customer and various groups within Ariba such as Technical Support, Sales, Engineering, and Solutions Marketing
Customer Focus
· The On-Demand Technical Implementation Lead, together with other OnDemand Implementation team members, is responsible for customer satisfaction during the successful deployment of solutions.
· Maintains regular communications with Customer representatives during implementation to keep them appraised of current project status
Ariba Solution Expertise
· Is conversant in features, functionality and applicability of the following Ariba OnDemand Solutions:
· Procure to Pay, Procure-to-order, Invoice Pro, Procurement Content and Services Procurement (Field Glass).
· Build solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the customer).
· Be willing to continuously learn new features (and occasionally new technology) and adapt to changing cloud technology and deployment methodologies
Teamwork
· Works with and often lead internal and external resources to optimize customer impact.
· Proactively collaborates and drives the internal team to anticipate and respond to issues that could impact solution deployment
· Executes with minimal guidance and shows strong initiative.
· Maintains regular communications with the Project Manager
· Displays proactive communication (i.e, face-to-face meetings and phone calls are more frequent than emails)
Basic Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in business / computer science
· Proven experience in IT or procurement-deployment consulting
· 2 years professional experience
· Strong communication skills including:
o Fluency in English, Portuguese and Spanish
o Ability to deliver presentations and lead discussions remotely in a virtual environment
o Ability to delivery presentations and lead discussions on-site
· Strong Organizational skills with proven experience in managing work from multiple projects simultaneously
· Ability to travel on a minimal basis (less than 10%)
Preferred Qualifications
· Management degree or Master’s degree in a technical education
Preferred Experience
· 5 years professional experience (technical consulting or custom development)
· Experience with systems implementation process/methodology including Waterfall and Agile approaches
· Experience implementing or supporting an on-demand solution
· Experience implementing or supporting an ERP system (Oracle, SAP, and PeopleSoft)
· Experience providing software demos/training
· Experience deploying systems based on object oriented platforms
· Experience working with Ariba products
· High level of competency in process design and configuration
Preferred Knowledge
· Technical Education Background (IT, Engineering Degree, Physical Sciences)
· Understanding of procurement and/or Accounts Payable
· Understanding of systems implementation process
· XML – ability to read, define and map XML documents
· SQL – ability to create queries in SQL
· MS Suite – ability to communicate effectively with Excel, Word, PPT, Visio
· UNIX – some background/exposure
· Web services - some background/exposure
· Authentication protocols (SAML, IIS)
· Object oriented programming (Java, Javascript, shell script)
