POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Development Manager to lead our Sales Development Team within Latin America. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Sales Development Team’s daily activities while working collaboratively with our sales, marketing, and GTM teams to drive incremental pipeline and supported revenue for the business. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a proven track record in the software industry, a strong understanding of the sales process, with excellent communication skills.
RESPONSIBLIITES
- Lead Generation: Implement effective strategies to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads through various channels, including outbound prospecting, cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, and more.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales development pipeline, ensuring that leads progress through the funnel efficiently, and work closely with the sales team to convert leads into opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate the sales development team, setting clear goals and providing ongoing training to ensure the team's success in meeting Sales Development targets.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, GTM, Partners, Value Advisors, etc. to align lead generation efforts with corporate initiatives, provide feedback on lead quality, and refine the targeting strategy.
- Reporting and Analysis: Regularly analyze key performance metrics, track the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns, and provide actionable insights to improve overall sales development performance.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adjust our approach as needed.
- Process Improvement: Continuously optimize the Sales Development process to increase efficiency and effectiveness, implementing best practices and exploring new tools and technologies.
SKILLSET
- Exceptional relationship building skills, ability to collaborate & sell internally to achieve targets
- Strong financial & business acumen, and an understanding of SAP’s Strategy and GTM goals with the ability to translate these into high-impact actionable plans
- Exceptional oral and written executive communication skills
- Passion to challenge, improve and innovate at both a personal and organizational level
- Ability to interpret & analyze data; make data-driven recommendations
- Divergent thinker who can find creative solutions to business problems
- Confident in bringing new ideas to the table supported by research and data
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Professional experience in Sales, Marketing &/or Business Development with large, multi-national software/IT organizations
- SAP product experience and/or 1-5 years prior relevant solution sales/business development experience.
- Channel experience work with VAR
- Proven track record of driving business results
- Customer-facing experience necessary, preferably in a Hunting role securing new customers
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Work Experience Required
