PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
To address customer requirements in enterprise planning across industries. As an SAP Consultant, you will need to support current and upcoming SAP projects. This includes assisting key customers in adopting innovative cloud products, primarily focusing on financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and enterprise performance management (EPM), transitioning into cross-functional Extended Planning & Analysis (xP&A). Developing competencies and expertise to offer Planning and Profitability & Performance Solutions to customers, utilizing tools like SAP Analytics Cloud – Planning (SAC-P) and SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM).
Extended Planning & Analytics is one of the fastest-growing Cloud business areas at SAP and is a critical part of the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
The Extended Planning & Analytics Senior Consultant will be responsible for implementing SAC-P / PaPM solutions, including SAP best practices and Business Content, procedures, and recommendations.
This Business Process Senior Consultant will handle application-specific expert consulting, support in projects, execution of feasibility studies / solution reviews, support pre-sales activities (software and consulting), and identify and apply Integrated Service Delivery options.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS
- Act as an advisor to the customer, covering end-to-end strategic (Planning / Profitability & Performance) processes.
- Be responsible from time to time as a sub-project team lead and support respective line managers in people development tasks.
- Define the best financial, marketing, sales, HR-workforce, supply chain, customer service, and traditional Enterprise Profitability & Performance Management (PaPM), as well as Sustainability Planning solutions for customers.
- Architect solution / implementation approach (requirements, scope, estimation).
- Support the definition of strategic, conceptual, and technical boundaries for the design of the Planning and / or Profitability & Performance Management processes, supporting the accounting principles and process requirements of the customer, with a focus on high efficiency, scalability, and performance.
- Understand SAP Best Practices, the as-is situation, and goals of a customer holistically, and translate it into an adequate roadmap design (processes, applications, systems, SAC-P / PaPM new functionality, packages, new implementation, and support) as well as the appropriate operating concept based on SAP’s offerings, with a clear focus on Customer Success, Adoption, and Consumption of Cloud Innovations.
- Support the development and execution of Innovation Roadmaps for customers, design business processes with the customer and feed them into the IT implementation. Help customers implement a state-of-the-art Innovation Roadmap.
- Detailed planning of process implementation. Be actively involved in the definition, preparation, conception, realization, and Go Live of SAP Planning / Profitability implementation projects.
- Industry / corporate process implementation across all related applications (SAP/non-SAP).
- Develop and ensure the quality of process models.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of modeling standards and tools.
- Act as a Functional Architect on complex implementations.
Support consulting and license pre-sales opportunities.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- University degree - Public Accountant or Professional Education in Finance, System Engineering, or a related University degree and/or post-graduate degrees, preferably.
- Knowledge of Finance processes in SAP for Enterprise and Multi-country.
- Knowledge of Strategic solutions to address the need for C-Level, related: Corporate and Finance Planning, Profitability and Performance scenarios, definitions, Models, and activities, supporting innovation in digital and Cloud Transformation.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills (including English conversation skills), demonstrate excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong executive presence and ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all executive levels.
- Successful teamwork experience & demonstrated leadership abilities.
- SAP Certification(desirable/preferred)
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of seven experience years in SAP applications consulting.
- Experience with a minimum of 6 full cycle implementations / project participation.
- Deep understanding of industry specific business processes.
- 2-3 years' job experience in SAP (as a key user or consultant) with at least 1 year of SAP Solutions: SAC-Planning, SAP Profitability and Performance Management or Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) experience.
- Experience in SAP Activate – Agile Methodology for implementation.
- Strong awareness of global cultural differences; work experience in a multi-national, complex environment.
- Experience delivering several businesses cases.
- Experience managing difficult client situations.
- Solid understanding of SAP product offerings and their interoperability with other components, as well as high-level understanding of interfacing technology.
- Strong experience and know-how of deployment options and their effects on the end-state architecture (identifying appropriate coexistence solutions to support the transition and deployment).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Fluent in Spanish OR Portuguese (either native desirable)
- Fluent in both spoken and written English (B2 or higher preferred)
