About the team:
You will join the Product Engineering Intelligent Enterprise & Cross Architecture organization, which is at the very heart of SAP. Our unit connects all relevant cross-engineering, strategy, and architecture function that support SAP’s customers to thrive as intelligent enterprises. We are responsible for engineering, enabling, and promoting the Intelligent Enterprise, crafting AI, cloud, and mobile experiences our customers will love, and defining the right architectural foundations for SAP’s future platform.

What you’ll do:
Position title: SAP Product Engineering iXp Intern (f/m/d) – designing, developing,rolling out an API Test Strategy
Work Area: Software-Design and Development
Location: Walldorf (remote work possible within Germany)
Expected start date: asap
In this role, you’ll:
- Gain deep knowledge about an important and fast evolving industry standard for Identity Management (SCIM; RFC 7644)
- Design, implement and roll out a test strategy for testing SCIM implementations across SAP
- Your work will support compatibility of these SCIM implementations which supports easy to setup and seamless access to SAP solutions for our customers
- You will get to know test methodologies and tools within SAP
- You will work with and enable skilled developers around the globe
- You get to employ state-of-the-art technology to solve integration requirements of some of SAP’s biggest customers
Who you are:
You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
- Must-have: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTTP authentication, Swagger / OpenAPI, GitHub, experience with debugging and automated testing (unit, integration and end-to-end tests)
- Nice-to-have: Mocha, Jest, Supertest, Java, Postman, Insomnia, code generation, SCIM, API design and implementation
- Language requirements: fluency in English, basic understanding of German nice to have
- Independent working style, flexibility for meeting times, intrinsic motivation, taking initiative
