The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for an Expert Product Manager (f/m/d) within the Infrastructure Engineering department within the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Product Engineering board area for the Shared Management Services Engineering group.
You will be working closely together with technical stakeholders, product architects, other product managers, as well as product owners of the various SAP product units and manage the detailed product and process adaptation roadmap required to achieve and maintain sovereignty.
Furthermore, you will assist in assuring lifecycle, operational cost, and portability of the SAP Product is met, in order to assure scale out to new markets. You will be a key contributor in building knowledge around the underlying products to help stakeholders, such as Go-to-Market (GTM), Sales, and Engineering, to meet their goals.
You will be responsible for the success, quality, cost management and delivery of an internal product and the whole product lifecycle as defined within our portfolio. You will contribute to the efficiency, effectiveness, and improvement of processes used to manage the product.
You will gain market and customer insights by:

Monitoring market tendencies and technology trends. Analyzes technology trends and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities for SAP.

Contributing to business case, develops and drives a product vision and a product roadmap.

Constantly evaluating competitive products on basis of publicly available information to ensure the product is on-par or competitive in the current market.

Customer roll-in.

Conducting interviews and participating in internal customer events.
You will ensure product definition by:

Ensuring customer input into all product definitions.

Owning and prioritizing product backlog which reflects customer and user needs in order to achieve competitive advantage and increase the value for internal customers.

Provide holistic overview on overall product backlog and ensures Product team and related Scrum teams have a comprehensive understanding of the product backlog.

Ensure rollout plan.

Having a long term view on the product with a near horizon and long term view.
You will ensure product delivery by:

Driving holistic product vision and product design to ensure all product teams have a comprehensive understanding of it.

Developing test cases and/or conducts expert testing and validates planned and implemented scope throughout product lifecycle and ensures delivery of high quality software.

Accepting or rejecting sprint results on a Scrum of Scrum level.

Ensuring creation of product-related non-coded assets in close cooperation with central teams e.g. Release Management, Production, and Governance.

Ensuring the delivery of a product to implement the solution strategy.

Collecting and incorporating early feedback from Customers and other relevant stakeholders.

Remaining cognizant of usable software being available at the end of every sprint.

Ensuring both the internal stakeholders & external ecosystem is aware of the developments by working closely with stakeholders and customer groups.

Continuously thinking about innovations and improvements.
You will contribute to related communities. You will identify opportunities and drives innovation in respective topics and domains within your functional role. You will actively follow and share developments and trends regarding new internal SAP and complimentary services and solution offerings, industry trends, and other topic areas relevant for the respective domain

Practical knowledge as Program Manager/Project Manager

Background in Software Development Lifecycle

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 153800 - 349500 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
