What you’ll do:
Position title: Value Advisor - Early Career Talent
Location: Colombia – (Bogota optional)
Duration: Temporary, up to 2 years
Role Description:
The role of the Early Career Talent in the Value Advisory area is centered around assisting Value Advisors in constructing robust business cases to evaluate the financial viability of the projects being offered by our cloud software technology company. The primary responsibility involves utilizing skills in financial valuation, balance sheet analysis, and cash flow comprehension to contribute to the development of comprehensive business justifications.
Project and Deliverables:
The project involves collaborating with Value Advisors to build compelling cases for the financial feasibility of the projects being sold. The deliverables include well-structured business cases that incorporate thorough financial valuation, analysis of balance sheets, and assessment of cash flows. These cases will serve as critical tools in determining the profitability, potential return on investment, and overall financial soundness of the projects in question.
Business Impact:
This role directly impacts the company's bottom line by ensuring that every project undertaken is financially justifiable and aligned with strategic goals. The Early Career Talent's contributions will lead to more accurate decision-making, enabling the company to focus on projects with higher potential for positive financial impact. What you bring:
Educational Requirements:
- A recent graduate of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is required.
Position Requirements:
- Solid understanding of financial valuation methods and techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess financial data and trends.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with complex financial data.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Prior experience or coursework in financial analysis, business valuation, or accounting.
- Familiarity with cloud software technology and the related business landscape.
- Proficiency in using financial analysis tools, spreadsheet software, and presentation tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- Recent bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is necessary (Finances or related)
- Proficiency in financial valuation, balance sheet analysis, and cash flow assessment is necessary.
- Prior experience in financial analysis or related internships is desired.
- Familiarity with cloud software technology is desired but not mandatory.
