HANA Data & Analytics (HD&A) is part of the Technology & Innovation Board Area, responsible for our data and analytics portfolio in the cloud. As a foundational part of the SAP Business Technology Platform the HD&A portfolio delivers value from critical business data, helping customers become Intelligent Enterprises and to digitally transform.
What you'll do
The SAP HANA Data & Analytics organization is looking for a senior individual who acts as Chief Project Expert Development/ Strategic Advisor (m/f/d) Infrastructure for Optimization & Excellence within HD&A.
Reporting into the COO of HANA Data & Analytics Development, the successful applicant will be focused on driving continuous improvement and optimization of our Infrastructure landscape. HD&A has proven that it can deliver cloud services, at scale, that balance resilience, TCO, performance and security needs. We want to build on this foundation by now applying experience from external PaaS and IaaS providers.
What you bring
- You are a champion for leading edge technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, AI/ML, and modern visualization. You have a cloud first mind-set and know how to balance competing priorities of TCO versus resilience and performance.
- You understand the main hyperscalers’ strategy and how these complement or compete against our own.
- You have a deep technical understanding of our hyperscaler delivery processes and how these can be applied to benefit and scale our cloud services and products.
- Preferably, you also know SAP’s data & analytics solutions and want to help them reach the next level. You also understand our customers’ business requirements and map them to our delivery needs and requirements.
- You are a strategic thinker, with a proven strategy and transformation pedigree, and can translate this to successful execution.
- You like to challenge complexity, think cross-boundaries, and communicate proactively with key stakeholders up to Board level.
- You are a strong motivator and passionate team-player, building networks across organizations and hierarchies. No challenge is too tough, and you strive to help simplify.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Business Management, Engineering or similar
- Strong customer focus, business acumen and business process knowledge
- Deep technical understanding of SAP’s cloud strategy, processes, and delivery
- Demonstrated corporate level experience in strategic projects and business transformation
- Demonstrated adaptability and flexibility to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks with deadline pressures, ambiguity, and change
- Demonstrated ability to act in a distributed team environment managing across multiple locations
- Fluency in English and German, both oral and written
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of working experience with proven track record in project management, strategy and transformation in large scale, high velocity projects or teams
- Minimum 1 year work experience with a Hyperscaler
- Deep technical knowledge in the fields of infrastructure and data management
- Proven C-Level and Senior Leadership experience
- Prior experience managing a senior team is strongly desired
