This position is in SAP NS2’s Office of the Chief Operating Officer and works with stakeholders across the entire NS2 organization to improve processes, mitigate risks, and remediate weaknesses related to internal controls. This position also identifies gaps in compliance with established security procedures, develops, and assists with implementation and oversight of appropriate remediation plans with operational teams. Specific duties include:
General:
- Performs quality review of the work of associates and specialists
- Demonstrates high proactive engagement to address risks and to solve problems with medium to high complexity
- Actively contributes to the enhancement of business and process performance and organizational objectives
- Manages work plans, schedules, and deliverables for assigned areas of responsibility
- Presents messages and complex topics to cross-functional colleagues and senior managers
- Makes decisions which address key business issues and gives consideration to the impact on other parts of the business/organization.
- Builds relationships to teams in the department, unit, board area and SAP-wide to facilitate support for standards, processes, tools & guidelines and acts as communication channel.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Develop measurements to support management’s ability to monitor process compliance, compliance to company-wide standards, and progress toward achievement of objectives
- Definition and creation of new reports, performance indicators, risk indicators, and key results
- Supports the production and analysis of periodic reports
- Define calculation methods and support automated reporting of business process key performance indicators (KPIs) and other supporting metrics and analytics
- Assist in automating manual processes and data management activities in support of the establishment of management dashboards and data visualizations
- Assist in data quality improvement initiatives
Risk Mitigation:
- Manage the automated tracking of related, risks, controls, business processes, and KPIs in an Integrated Risk Management system
- Support business units in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting business risks;
- Provide recommendations to improve internal controls, mechanisms and goals in comparison to best practices.
- Support the identification and assessment of potential risks within business units, and ensure a proper documentation, monitoring and reporting of risks commensurate with SAP's risk management policy requirements and risk management model.
- Recommend and track implementation of mitigations for key risks
- Objectively review and provide recommendations on business processes, policies, standards, and procedures
- Track remediation of deficiencies identified in internal and external audits or assessments
Business Process and Internal Controls:
- Participate in the documentation and streamlining of key business processes, including identifying control and risk mitigation requirements
- Assist the team in promoting process controls, which are documented, assessed, and effective based on requirements of SAP and related best practices for SOX Section 404
- Assist operational teams in managing, measuring, and monitoring control effectiveness
- Educate the organization to ensure compliance with internal policies and internal control requirements
- Assess customer and organizational needs and articulate issues/risks to management.
Education /Requirements
- BS/BA degree required in information technology, data analytics, business administration, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- One or more relevant certification or professional license:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Risk Management Professional (RMP)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Data Analytics Certification in a relevant technology (SAP, AWS, Microsoft, ServiceNOW)
- Approximately 1-5 years business experience in risk management or relevant business required with increasing amount of responsibility
- Experience in developing, automating, and reporting metrics and analytics related to business performance and/or business risk
- Prior experience in internal control design, auditing, or audit remediation is a plus
- Sound independent judgement and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 97,000 - 213,800 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
