Customer Evolution is a dynamic new entity within SAP’s Customer Success Board Area, which drives the Customer Evolution program globally.
The SAP Customer Evolution Program is designed to lead customers from where they are today to what’s next with SAP’s latest business applications and technologies on a tailored innovation journey and is responsible for customer satisfaction efforts worldwide and for accelerating the transformation of SAP’s customers to the cloud.
As a key team within the board area of Customer Success, SAP Customer Evolution marshals the expertise of SAP employees and partners to help existing customers reinvent their business and accelerate their journey toward becoming intelligent, sustainable enterprises.

As a Senior Business Insights Analyst, you will play a vital role in transforming data into actionable insights, supporting strategic decision-making, and driving business growth. You will act as trusted advisor to senior management, offering data-driven guidance that aligns business strategies with organizational objectives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Business Insights Analyst will play a key role in helping the Customer Evolution Organization make informed decisions by analyzing data, identifying trends, and providing valuable insights. Your primary focus will be on data analysis, interpretation, and communication to support strategic business initiatives.
Data Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources to derive meaningful insights. This involves using statistical methods, data mining, and data visualization techniques.
- Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Data Modeling & Trend Identification.
- Create and maintain data models that enable deeper analysis and predictive capabilities. · Identify and interpret trends and patterns within the data and present these findings to relevant teams or management to support decision-making.
Forecasting & Predictive Analytics
- Utilize statistical modeling and predictive analytics to forecast future trends and outcomes.
Business Strategy Support & Competitive Analysis
- Collaborate with business leaders and teams to provide data-driven insights that support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to assess the organization's performance relative to industry peers.
Data Governance & Business Insights
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to improve business processes, enhance efficiency, and drive revenue growth.
- Work closely with various departments, including marketing, finance, operations, and product development, to understand their data needs and deliver relevant insights.
- Stay up to date with data analysis best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
DEMONSTRATED QUALITIES
- Typically, 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with statistical methods, predictive analytics, and data modeling techniques.
- Business Acumen and a solid understanding of business operations and processes, enabling the ability to connect data insights to real-world business implications.
- Excellent communication and data visualization skills, with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously. ·
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying data-driven solutions.
- Effective collaboration and teamwork skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Broad understanding of SAP solutions portfolio and the business processes.
- Established network with SAP internal Business Insights and Data stakeholder groups is a plus.
EDUCATION
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree/ MBA or PHD is considered a plus.
