This position is in SAP NS2’s Office of the Chief Operating Officer and works with stakeholders across the entire NS2 organization to improve processes, measure performance, mitigate risks, and remediate weaknesses related to internal controls. This position will be a combination of working in the Herndon, VA office and Hybrid.
Job Description:
- Provides regular updates on business process / internal control and risk assessment results
- Makes decisions with moderate complexity and makes recommendations of broad nature
- Actively contributes to the enhancement of business and process performance, project and change management, and organizational design.
- Manages smaller projects and develops timelines & plans and creates ad-hoc teams (virtual or otherwise) to best meet the needs of the business.
- Makes decisions which address key business issues and gives consideration to the impact on other parts of the business/organization.
- Builds relationships to teams in the department, unit, board area and SAP-wide to facilitate support for standards, processes, tools & guidelines and acts as communication channel.
Strategy to Execution:
- Support development of operations strategy, execution and operational plans
- Monitoring of specific goals (scope, quality, budget, time) and continuous enhancements and adoption to new requirements
- Overall coordination of program/projects management activities
- Provide program & project management support for (area specific) projects
Process Definition and Enhancement:
- Organize planning meetings
- Contribute to process definition and rollout
- Creation of concepts and content for information rollout (newsletter, Corporate Portal content, Wiki-pages)
- Provide process guidelines, standards, methods & tools
- Support business units in identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting business risks;
- Provide recommendations to improve internal controls, mechanisms and goals in comparison to best practices.
- Facilitate the identification and assessment of potential risks within business units, and ensure a proper documentation, monitoring and reporting of risks commensurate with SAP's risk management policy requirements and risk management model.
- Recommend and track implementation of mitigation activities for identified risks
- Track remediation of deficiencies identified in internal and external audits or assessments
Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor process compliance and compliance to company-wide standards
- Execution and analysis of periodic reports
- Definition and creation of new reports
- Define calculation methods and support automated reporting of business process key performance indicators (KPIs) and other supporting metrics and analytics
Education/Requirements
- BS/BA degree required in information technology, business administration, data analytics, or a related field
- 1- 2 years business experience
- Experience in business operations, risk management, or related field is an advantage
- Project management and organizational skills preferred with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be US citizen

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 64,400 - 146,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
