Location: Reston, VA
Purpose and Objective:
SuccessFactors, Inc. seeks a Developer at our Reston, VA location to design, develop and implement software that can enhance product capabilities, improve product quality and team productivity.
Expectations and Tasks:
Refine design requirements and develop code using relevant technologies and tools. Analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Perform automation and manual testing to improve product quality. Fix and resolve customer issues and defects and improve code quality. Utilize Agile Software Development lifecycle such as SCRUM to track development activity.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in job offered or in a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or in a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Position requires at least two years of experience in each of the following:
• Object oriented programing using languages including Java, JavaScript, Python or C#;
• UI Testing and application development using JavaScript and HTML/CSS;
• Implement SQL queries using Oracle and MySQL;
• Software Development Life Cycle using SCRUM methodology and creating Sprint Stories, tasks, and estimation, using tools including JIRA;
• Execute, test, and maintain large automation scripts system using Java or VBScript;
• Design, implement, and execute test plans that include unit, functional, regression, system, and integration tests; and
• Perform Test Estimation, create Test Plan and Test Summary Report for release and testing sign-off in the Agile environment
Travel: N/A. Telecommuting permitted.
