The Challenge
As a strategic Researcher in the Global Experience Management Office (XMO) you will join our growing community of XM subject matter experts that is helping SAP take its experience research to the next level. You will be challenged to come up with new and creative solutions to SAP’s most complex insights needs. You will provide research advisory services, build flagship programs, and generate strategic insights that advance how SAP ideates, builds, measures, and improves the experiences it delivers to customers, partners, and employees. You will use your quantitative and qualitative research skills to tell stories with data that showcase experiences with SAP processes and products. You will continually look for opportunities to generate and leverage CX, EX, BX and PX data as we build a world-class XM Program at SAP. Note: this is NOT a UX role, though UX research experience may be considered.
A Day/Week/Month in the Life
The XMO’s research portfolio comprises a broad range of topical areas. The core set of responsibilities for which the Researcher is responsible includes the following:
· Work independently or in collaboration with key business leaders to design and implement XM research in alignment with strategic priorities and industry best practices
· Provide research consultation to scope and oversee ad hoc strategic research engagements and reinforce the use of XM program flagship metrics
· Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and synthesize results to provide meaningful insights that can drive business action
· Prepare polished, high-impact insights reports to socialize the stories you tell with the data
· Communicate and establish credibility with internal stakeholders, including technical and non-technical senior leadership
· Provide thought-leadership on XM and reinforce XMO standards, methodologies and industry best practices
What Success Looks Like
You work with minimal supervision to conduct high-quality research, either independently or in a project lead role collaborating with others. You engage those around you with the stories you tell with data, presenting those stories in executive-ready insights reports that are clear, concise, and thought-provoking. You operate from a customer-first service mindset to provide exceptional research and advisory services aligned with strategic business goals. You help stakeholders recognize and harness the power of insights to inform action and decision-making.
Your Background
To be successful in the Researcher role, the following set of skills and experience are requested:
Minimum qualifications
· Master’s degree (MA/MS) in the Social Sciences (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, etc.), Marketing, or other research-intensive discipline
· 5+ years work experience in the applied research space (quantitative and mixed methods)
· Knowledge of statistical techniques, analysis, and reporting used in research (e.g., correlation, regression, KPI metric development, segmentation and modeling, data visualization)
· Experience synthesizing results from different research studies and/or tracking programs into cohesive insights reports
· Demonstrated expertise preparing executive-level insights decks to communicate research findings to stakeholders and decision-makers
· Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage on research topics with technical and non-technical audiences
· Comfort working collaboratively to understand emerging and/or rapidly-evolving topic areas
· High standards of excellence, professionalism, and role model behavior
· Foundational technical familiarity using Qualtrics or similar survey research platform
Preferred qualifications:
· Doctoral degree in the Social Sciences (e.g., Sociology, Psychology, etc.), Marketing, or other relevant discipline
· Advanced skill and certification in the Qualtrics platform (i.e., survey development, dashboard building, TextIQ analysis).

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 126000 - 261000 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
