Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior Marketing Design Senior Specialist at our New York, NY location to translate the company’s objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a cohesive, audience-centric go-to-market strategy.
Expectations and Tasks:
Understand the fundamentals of market economics, whitespace and opportunities, and global business objectives. Develop a deep understanding of the product portfolio and interpret to create a differentiated value proposition and messaging, tailored to the target audience. Contribute to marketing business planning based on corporate priorities, product/solution value proposition, audience needs and whitespace opportunities. Contribute to integrated marketing program planning by providing an audience point of view via positioning, messaging and respective solution/industry expertise. Collaborate across marketing to create the customer journey and associated customer-facing content and offers to drive customer demand from new customer acquisition through renewal. Serve as evangelist for the target audience and the solution both internal and external to SAP. Provide direct support (i.e., deal support, messaging, deal cycle, analysis, etc.) to marketing Channels of Excellence, go-to-market and sales teams to land the value proposition, maximize customer value and drive demand Assess, analyze, and evaluate market reactions (i.e., via social media channels) to optimize marketing strategies and influence offers and communication.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:
- Work within the different functions of a technology marketing organization to create marketing and sales messages to customers and the mechanics of solution delivery to clients. Utilize the power of storytelling in delivering specialized communications to specific technology and business audiences that buy and use enterprise software solutions through written and verbal communication channels.
- Plan, organize, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific marketing project goals and objectives.
- Discover and curate relevant, high-quality digital marketing content from a variety of sources and present it in a meaningful and organized manner.
- Facilitate an integrated planning process for the development and execution of marketing campaigns, product launches, digital marketing engagement, and sales enablement.
- Manage large marketing budgets and report and manage to business KPIs.
- Translate business strategy into marketing strategy, and marketing strategy into integrated marketing plans that reflect all elements of the marketing mix.
- Develop marketing collateral, advertising, and digital assets in support of promotion and demand generation strategy.
- Identify, analyze, and respond to project risk opportunities, including risk management planning, risk identification, quantitative risk analysis, qualitative risk analysis, risk response planning, and risk monitoring and control.
- Distinguish between tactical, operational, business, and strategic marketing metrics and recognize when each should be measured and monitored.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $109,845 - $131,760. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $124,800 - $193,400 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
