Purpose and Objective:
Concur Technologies, Inc. seeks a Development Expert at our Bellevue, WA location to be responsible for development focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks:
Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving complex issues. Define deliverables and provide advice and recommendations on solutions that may affect future design decisions. Improves work methods and engineering skills in the team and beyond to establish state-of-the art agile software engineering practices. Has expert level and broad overall product and technical knowledge and is recognized internally and externally as a subject matter expert. Act as Scrum Master in the Agile context. Responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Scrum Master is a 'servant-leader' for the Product Owner and the Development Team Facilitates Scrum Events on request or as required Coaches the Development Team in self-organization. Removes impediments to the Development Team's progress.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field and 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:
- Object-oriented programming with Java and Spring;
- Design, create and maintain distributed systems with service-based design using REST and open source frameworks;
- Database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Event processing and messaging concepts and frameworks;
- Cloud architecture, including designing an overall solution;
- Application monitoring and code instrumentation, code build and deployment, and monitoring tools and infrastructure; and
- Agile Development, including Scrum, CI/CD and DevOps concepts, including automated deployments, monitoring, and alerting.
Telecommuting permitted. Position can be based in any US location. Position reports to the employer’s office in Bellevue, WA.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $168,709 - $210,084. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $169,600- $288,300. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
