Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Quality Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location to Work in a cross functional development or testing team with special focus to quality assurance and test related tasks within the product creation process.
Expectations and Tasks:
Analyze, define, implement, and execute quality and test related activities according to a given quality- and test strategy for the product area. Create a detailed test design including test system landscape requirements and product standards, prepares tests including customizing and master data, author and execute manual and automated tests. Analyze test results, issue spot, and take appropriate follow-up action. Adopt and enhance new automation tools and create innovative automated test systems. Explore and validate the functional correctness, performance capabilities and resource usage of products and various integration points. Coordinate delivery deadline in an Agile development environment. Coordinate build deployments monitoring test results. Team subject matter expert in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods, and tools.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field and 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or related occupation. The Company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 3 years in the following:
- Develop test automation using frameworks such as Protractor, Katalon, Appium, Perfecto or Selenium; and
- Object-oriented programming, including Java.
Experience must involve 1 year in the following:
- Applied experience in Javascript or Typescript.
Experience must involve each of the following:
- API Test automation;
- Agile or Scrum development process;
- CI/CD pipelines; and
- Database concepts and SQL.
Travel: N/A. Telecommuting permitted. Position can be based in any U.S. location.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary for this position is $164,050. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $164,050 to $206,000. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
