Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Principal Technology Consultant at our Alpharetta, GA location to lead the technical workstream and coordinate technical stakeholders in an engagement.
Expectations and Tasks:
Explains complex technical aspects to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences. Coordinates delivery activities with technology partners. Plans and executes solution deployments. Leverages the capabilities of the SAP's latest technology platform(s) and reinforces their benefits. Champions and leads the transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise. Implements and supports the operation of technical system landscapes. Supports setup and connectivity of integrated system landscapes (on-premise, cloud and hybrid) by applying state-of-the-art methodologies. Delivers technology components-specific expert consulting and quality assurance services. Delivers system optimization services. Supports solution proposals and bid management. Supports in escalated projects and manages escalations with product teams, mediates between stakeholders. Occasionally takes over responsibility as a (sub-)project lead or team lead for a service delivery and supports line manager(s) in people development tasks. Delivers customer workshops and trainings. Drives the evolution of the relevant section of the services portfolio for the respective solution area and key related areas; can be owner of a service and/or initiates updates to the portfolio. Drives the creation of templates, common practices and supporting service delivery artifacts.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 5 years in the following:
- Architecting multiple, complex end-to-end SAP Ariba Solutions (SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing, SAP Ariba Sourcing & Contracts, Supplier Lifecycle Performance & Risk, SAP Ariba Commerce Automation and Supply Chain Collaboration & SAP Business Network);
- Design, build, and test integrations of SAP Ariba solutions with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA On-Premises & S/4HANA Cloud (Public & Private) ERP solutions;
- Integration of Ariba Supplier Life Cycle & Performance solution with SAP ERP, S/4 HANA or MDG-S solution with at least two (2) customers;
- Design, building, testing Integration solutions using SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) & SAP Ariba Restful APIs with at least five (5) customers;
- Integrating Ariba solutions using Ariba Cloud integration tool or custom adapters with Oracle, People Soft or 3rd party ERPs with at least two (2) customers;
- Integrating solutions with middle platforms like SAP NetWeaver PI/PO or similar tools; and
- MS SQL Server or Oracle databases and SQL or PL/SQL programming languages.
Travel: Position requires up to 50% domestic travel to various and unanticipated client sites. Telecommuting permitted.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $133,120 - $226,320. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $146,000 - $248,200 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
