Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Business Processes Senior Consultant at our San Ramon, CA location to use knowledge of customer’s business and industry to assess findings and shape solutions.
Expectations and Tasks:
Influence the opinions and decisions of clients using understanding of client’s organizational processes and structure. Speak to a variety of customers from different departments, at different levels, and in large or small groups (e.g. client project manager, technical team). Know customer problems and anticipates their needs. Identify client issues and approaches for determining potential solutions. Recognize the service needs associated with a client-focused business model. Dedicate to delivering exceptional results. Make the client successful within the realm and scope of the Statement of Work (SOW). Lead customers through the lifecycle of an SAP Ariba implementation. Guide customers through the design process to make decisions with full visibility into SAP Ariba Best Practices. Assist customers in the development of processes and procedures which leverage SAP Ariba solution functionality being deployed. Authors Functional and Technical design documents. Plan and manage project tasks and resources to ensure deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards to achieve high customer satisfaction. Often will lead some portion of the customer deployment. Can deploy SAP Ariba solutions that they may not have previously deployed. Share expertise through training and communications with customers ensuring knowledge transfer and the desired level of self-sufficiency is achieved.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and six (6) years of progressive experience required in the job offered or related occupation.
The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Prior experience to include each of the following:
- Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis;
- Procurement solution design & implementation Execution;
- Organizational change management advisory;
- Functional and technical design documentation authoring;
- Subject Matter Expert for finance implementations;
- Cloud Operating Model design and organizational setup;
- Manage Product backlog and enhancement management;
- Production cutover planning and support;
- Design of technical solutions to facilitate cloud integration;
- Upskilling of team members and customers for solutions;
- Project resource and team management;
- Issue resolution and escalation management; and
- Program and vendor Management
Travel: 80% travel required to various and unanticipated client sites nationwide. Telecommuting permitted up to 100%. Position can be based in any U.S. location.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $154,523.00 - $205,870.00. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $154,523.00 - $247,000.00. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
