Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Business Development Senior Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to analyze and develop programmatic solutions that will drive increased sales execution efficiency from Quoting, Contracting, Booking, Provisioning and Billing.
Expectations and Tasks:
Identify and develop consolidated program performance results based on the compilation of data from multiple available sources, and package for stakeholder review on a monthly or as-needed basis. Analyze performance results, develop solutions for identified gaps, and package corresponding sales engagement program recommendations for action by Sales Engagement Programs team as well as MU Sales leadership action. Take ownership for assigned Sales Engagement Programs Team special projects, all focused on improving the Quoting, Contracting, Booking, Provisioning and Billing internal experience for North America Sales Teams. Maintain a centralized record of issues for multiple programs, and prioritize action plans with each MU based on stakeholder input. Identify and share findings with Market Unit stakeholders and others responsible for operations and programs. Drive collaboration with business and data owners to ensure accuracy and alignment on reporting for assigned programs. Create accurate and data-driven points-of-view on trends and areas of/for improvement across multiple sales engagement programs. Develop and expand knowledge of the SAP customer data model, Intelligent Data and Enterprise Analytics Store offerings, program-specific reporting and North America Market Unit data/reporting needs.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 6 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 4 years in the following:
- Industry-standard reporting packages, and databases, including Microsoft Access or SQL) and programming (JavaScript, Excel VBA script and ETL frameworks);
- CRM;
- Business Intelligence & Analytics;
- Data Modeling & Visualization;
- Analyze business results based on data-driven viewpoints; and
- Dashboards and visualization applications, including data visualization tools Alteryx, Tableau, MS Power BI or Excel.
Experience also to include each of the following:
- Data Warehousing;
- Apply statistical methods, data modeling, and predictive analysis to answer strategic questions;
- Create customized reporting and presentations; and
- Support management of related projects, including project scope definition, action plan definition and progression, and timelines.
Travel: Telecommuting permitted. Position can be based in any U.S. location.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $155,550. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $126,900 to $215,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
