The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of SAP Product Engineering with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
We are looking for a Project Expert (f/m/d) supporting the Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery team in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry. Within the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery organization, we will be responsible for operating a multitude of SAP solutions according to local certification requirements. We will establish a small Global Team, which will focus on standardization and alignment between the various local teams, who will execute their day-to-day activities based on global guidance.
You will be part of this Global team and assume responsibility for driving cross-functional projects across the global and local units of the organization. You will strongly cooperate with other teams in Development and Customer Success. You will be responsible for all project management aspects including reporting to senior executives, budgeting and forecasting. Developing new and different approaches is highly encouraged and a problem-solving attitude is a prerequisite for the position. One of your first tasks will be leading the PMO team for a multi-year implementation project.
The role includes the following tasks:
- Manage all activities related to project management, incl. budgeting, demand forecasting, day-to-day operations and escalations
- Centrally coordinate and manage cross topics
- Manage projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the overall department and its processes
- Analyze and structure complex business tasks and propose strategic directions
- Ensuring compliance with SAP Governance and conventions
- Manage stakeholders on all levels of the organization with a specific focus on C-Level reporting
- Balance the need of local regulations with global processes and ensure utmost level of uniformity across country deployments
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated ability to interact and influence at the C level
- Proven track record in project management skills
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- High service and customer orientation
- Skilled in process optimization
- Drive for permanent change
- Interpersonal skills: team player, proactive networking, results and execution focus, motivated to work in an international and intercultural environment

- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and preferably in German
- Constructive and open style of communication
- Audience oriented advanced presentation skills (e.g. system administrators, top management)
- Focus on quality
- Must be a citizen of a NATO member state and willing to undergo a security clearance process
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience
- Proven track-record in C-Level communication
- Experience in SAP’s development lifecycle is highly preferred
- Experience in large-scale projects spanning across multiple years
- Experience in Hyperscaler technology is a plus

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $153,800 - $349,500 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
