Purpose and Objective:
Ariba, Inc. seeks a Quality Expert at our Plano, TX location to work on program or unit level or across organizational boundaries with special focus to quality assurance and test related tasks within the product creation process.
Expectations and Tasks:
Define quality and test strategies for programs, complex products, across products or technologies respecting defined process and product standards. Create a detailed test design for larger areas of programs. Analyze and evaluate test results and take appropriate follow-up actions. Coach areas or teams in terms of quality assurance and test related processes, methods, and tools. Show technical, business and methodological leadership (e.g. drives process or tool improvements). Act as quality and test contact for stakeholders. Has advanced product domain knowledge with business processes and scenarios and a proficient understanding of customer needs. Has expert knowledge about relevant product and process standards, important legal requirements and quality assurance and test related tools. Has proficient knowledge and technical competencies of relevant programming languages and related development tools and processes.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation. The company will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Work Experience:
Experience must involve 5 years in the following:
- Design, implement, and execute test plans that include unit, functional, regression, system, and integration tests;
- Build new automation infrastructure using at least one automation frameworks in: Java, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, Protractor, or Selenium;
- Scripting languages including JavaScript, Typescript, PERL, or Shell Script;
- Database concepts, including SQL, Oracle, or HANA;
- Linux or Unix systems;
- QA testing methodology; and
- Utilize Object-oriented programming.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $123,574.00 - $210,084.00. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $153,800.00 - $261,500.00 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount, and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
