JOB DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Design Lead for SAP Global Events will be responsible for the overall design aesthetic created then used across our hosted events. In this role the candidate will be responsible for producing guidance and design content that matches the company's brand, aesthetic, and marketing strategy. Role would include the ability to see “Big picture” event experience, then plan design elements for the entire event cycle and across all touchpoints ultimately delivering a positive attendee experience through consistent, simple, engaging, informative, and educational experiences at our events. The ideal candidate should be able to efficiently combine creativity, functionality, and technology to produce eye-catching and informative content. In this role, organizational and technical skills are key, and all candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of design software programs.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare briefs for each project and present design ideas to all the relevant stakeholders
- Develop a range of compelling concepts and designs for each project
- Inspire and collaborate with copywriters and other designers
- Work with branding and design teams to create physical and digital event branding and design materials across all of SAP Tier One events, including:
- Websites, collateral pieces, promotional items, ads and other marketing pieces, directional signage, and booth graphics.
- Designs for print, web, large format (trade show and outdoor displays), promotional items, and UI
- Corporate brand development and management experience
- Collaborate with the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure that all designs align with the brand image, while also meeting usability and website standards.
- Ensure consistency in designs and content across all company platforms.
- Provide advice and guidance on the aesthetic for campaigns, projects, and promotional events.
- Work with translators and localization teams to coordinate content in multiple languages
- Close collaboration with vendors such as: WEG, Freeman, i4D, FMP, Eventrix, 23K, RainFocus, Kuelhaus, MCI, and others
Skills required include:
- Overall extensive experience in the visual arts
- Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a professional digital design role.
- Attendee-focused design aesthetic
- Experience with the SAP brand, including knowledge of SAP lingo, our products and services, and our customer base
- Ad agency experience
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects
- A portfolio of previous digital design work to showcase experience and creativity
- Proficiency using design tools: Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects
- A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills
- Ability to dissect and understand complex problems

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 97,000 - 213,800 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
