Description:The Integrated Fighter Group is looking for individuals that would thrive in a challenging environment whose charter is to provide state of the art capabilities to the F-16 Warfighter. The F-16 aircraft is on the front-line supporting key Air Force Initiatives around the world and the measure of success for this work is in increased survivability for the men and women who put their lives at risk for all of us.
The selected candidate will participate in all phases of the System Software lifecycle from supporting Initial System Design concepts, software requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and test. There will be opportunities to support software products being integrated in System Labs as well as supporting problem resolution identified during flight test. Opportunities will exist to obtain focused expertise outside of the Software discipline is desired.
Candidate will gain experience in avionics subsystems such as datalinks, stores management, weapon integration, mission computers, pilot vehicle interfaces, etc. There are significant opportunities for leveraging skills in low level (infrastructure) software development tightly coupled with hardware development as well as high level application software development.
The applicant must have software development experience with one or more of the following: C, C++, or Ada. Experience with modern development tools (visual modeling, simulation, debug, bus analyzers) is a plus. Experience with Wind River VxWorks, Green Hills Integrity, Linus, QNX RTOS and or Windows is a plus. Experience working in a mature software process environment is desired.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree or above from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
-Embedded software experience, such as Real Time Operation System and PC development (e.g. Green Hills or Wind River)
-Object Oriented (OO) Design experience
-C/C++ language programming experience
-Experience working with Linux Operating System
Must be a US citizen. This position requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
