Job Description

Crown seeks Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Project Engineers, and Systems Analysts to support development of next generation global positioning systems and inertial navigation systems.

Work may be performed on-site (preferred) in Oak Creek, Wisconsin or Pine Brook, New Jersey, or remotely. If staff are not located on-site, travel to the WI or NJ facilities may be required. Candidates with experience ranging from junior to senior levels are sought.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain stakeholder needs and transform the integrated set of needs to design input requirements with a multidisciplinary team
  • Experienced in identifying interface requirements and control of interactions across system and subsystem boundaries
  • Ability to lead the technical team in the development of verification and validation plans and test execution
  • Awareness of the systems engineering processes to transition the system and operate the system in the operational and support environment
  • Experience with utilizing digital requirement management tools to define, trace and integrate system requirements across system life cycles and variant systems and product lines
  • Experience with system modeling and analysis to support technical understanding and decision-making
  • Ability to monitor and control processes to ensure coordination of design changes and associated impacts across subsystems
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team while maintaining communication with the project leader of project status
  • Capability to manage risk/opportunity across the project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant fields
  • Must be willing to travel (approximately one 2-3 day trip per month)
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR restrictions
  • Must communicate well and work with the various teams internally and externally

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Model-Based Systems Engineering methods and experience in system modeling and simulation using Cameo/MagicDraw/Catia, ANSYS SCADE
  • Requirements management using DOORS, use of problem reporting and revision control tools, SVN, SharePoint
  • Reliability and Logistics
  • Modelling & Simulation – Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow
  • Configuration management, Collaboration etc. via git, docker containers
  • Systems Engineering - Verification & Validation, Tests, Tracing Requirements from Doors, Tracing Architectures from Cameo
  • Code Generation via Embedded, Simulink & Matlab Coders to target Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC – ARM cores & perhaps even FPGA
  • DO Qualification Kit - DO-178
  • Air worthiness-MILHBK - 516
  • The Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE™) standard, version 3.1
  • Inertial Navigation Systems, including Global Positioning Systems and Inertial Measurement Units development and verification requirements
  • Familiar with military and FAA standards; Proficiency in communication bus standards and operation (MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, RS-422, Ethernet, SpaceWire), and familiarity with software / firmware development standards (DO-178B/C, DO-254) required, MIL-STD-882 ; ARP-4761, 4754A
  • Real-time Operating Systems, ideally Green Hills INTEGRITY-178 tuMP
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional certification and/or Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering is a positive differentiator
