Robert Bosch LLC seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 N Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for the direction, coordination, and implementation of infotainment platform supplier deliverables, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the customer and Bosch team. Serve as the technical counterpart between platform supplier and project team. Coordinate with the customer to understand the platform requirements, leads the customer change request (ECP) handling for all supplier and project platform requirements. Work closely with supplier to get the estimates for the ECP's. Review supplier technical solutions for the new ECP's and coordinate the support requests from customer and project. Coordinate with the supplier for the release plans and works closely with the Project Solution Managers to align the supplier releases with the project plan. Play the role of Project Platform Product Manager to plan the integration of supplier releases into the project and technically lead the team of platform experts across US, Mexico, and China. Work closely with the customer to understand Android release requirements such as, regular pastry and security updates needed for Google's GAS requirements. Actively investigate the platform design and is constantly looking to improve the system performance and quality. Contribute to advanced software development environment facilitating board bring-up, continuous integration, improved testing, and delivery. Analyze technical requirements documents and propose implementation solutions. Responsible for the overall performance of the platform components. Responsible for the platform concepts rollout into product Triage incoming platform issues. Remote Work May Be Permitted. REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience directing, coordinating, and implementing infotainment platform supplier deliverables within the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: 1. Integrating the infotainment platform delivered by the suppliers using CI/CD methodology and delivering the releases to customer; 2. Maintaining and stabilizing the infotainment platform using Linux kernel and QNX core concepts; 3. Leading the display and graphics architecture using the core GPU and display configuration technologies; 4. Triaging complex platform issues using kernel logging mechanisms such as tracelogs and systrace; and 5. Using new change requests to align customer requirements with platform limitations and offering/ensuing concepts that best suite products. Apply below.
