Job Description
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaption and migration processes.
- Regularly evaluate cloud applications, hardware, and software.
- Develop and organize cloud systems.
- Work closely with IT security to monitor the company’s cloud privacy.
- Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
- Identify the top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of the company and the customer.
- Lead our organization through cloud adoption and establish best practices.
- Plan and select cloud providers and third-party services.
Job Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience designing, executing, and supporting IT Cloud solutions and architecture.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field.
- Proven work experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture patterns like native, hybrid and private cloud.
- Proven work experience and knowledge with different cloud services, applications, and tools.
- Proven work experience and knowledge with SaaS principles and rules.
- Proven work experience and knowledge with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
- Proven work experience and knowledge with Clouds platforms like IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS, in addition to systems virtualization and VMware tools and ecosystem, OpenShift and Kubernetes container technologies, service-based architectures, software defined networking and virtualized communications infrastructure components.
- Good working knowledge in the following:
- Cloud Automation tools
- Scripting for provisioning
- Management of Cloud Operations
- Key systems management components
- Security vulnerability assessments, security risk assessments, local and site recovery assessments, processes, and mitigation measures.
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners.
- Strong work experience with IBM applications and IBM Cloud is a plus.
- Relevant training and/or certifications in Cloud, Security, and/or similar credentials as a Cloud Architect.
- TOGAF certification is a plus.
