About the team
The mid-market enterprise or SME segment represents SAP’s fastest growth opportunity, particularly in Cloud. To accelerate market share in this segment, it is of strategic importance to align all Demand Generation Functions towards the key revenue opportunities, using a data driven approach.
This position will support the SAP Humanizing Business Team who are working to improve the employee experience of our location through onboarding, events, and creating personal networks. The candidate will work closely with team members in organizing internal and external events as well as our onboarding experience for new talent joining our SAP Barcelona office. We are looking for a passionate and motivated colleague who can take ownership for events, internally & externally, of various sizes as well as be a natural networker and driven by creating . The intern should be available for a minimum of 6 months, ideally longer.

In this role, you’ll:
• Bring your creative side to all we do! We are open to hear how we can improve the way we do things, welcoming new ideas and people with a drive to make things happen!
• Create, organize & drive internal and external events & communities including: social events, peer-to-peer learning, talent attraction events, university events, career fairs, mentoring sessions, and company events.
• A high level of drive & ownership of tasks – you will be fully supported and working as a team, but it is our expectation that everyone takes responsibility for their topic!
• On-site and hybrid events, with event responsibility for organization of digital & physical formats and logistics.
• Supporting in following up on events such as post-event communication to external participants and gathering feedback.
• Support the First Week Experience (1WX) by helping the team to prepare, execute, and follow up on our monthly cultural onboarding program for new starters in the Barcelona Hub.
• Support in running the SAP Ambassador program by recruiting new members, tracking quarterly and YTD impact, organizing events, and recognition – updating Ambassador wall, quarterly videos and awards, exclusive events, etc.
• Regularly meeting with universities to maintain relationships and plan future events and updating university job portals with current open positions in Barcelona.
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by “learning by doing” and thrive in a strong team environment. You can handle an agile approach to projects - where done is better than perfect & where mistakes are part of the learning journey!
What you’ll do:
• Education: Ideally experience in Event & Community Management or similar experience
• Need to have great moderation, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience in organizing and managing physical events (finding of space, hotel, catering, social impact etc.).
• Ability to work independently, be proactive with a strong drive for connection people
• Must have a good Business English and Spanish
• Strong facility with teamwork and an ability to learn and adapt quickly
• A natural networker who builds horizontal collaborations based on trust & engagement
