1. JOB PURPOSE
To enhance the medical
health function for public bus drivers. Manage professional medical health
assessment and coordinate with DHA medical committee as per the department policies
and procedures
2. KEY RESULTS ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Functional Planning:
- To plan for the
occupational medical tests required for the public bus drivers to cover the
areas of tests that are relevant their job as per international standards.
- To plan
effectively the requirements for conducting the medical tests by coordinating
with the medical institution providing such occupational tests by comparing
them based on the cost and effectiveness of the medical tests.
- To plan the
schedules for the professional medical tests based on the contract with the
medical institute as per the policies and procedures of client.
2. Applications and Results for the Medical tests:
For New
Employee and Renewal Cases:
- To apply for
the employment medical tests for newly selected candidates and currently
employed drivers at the designated medical center.
- Communicate to
the driver the appointment date through Dubai SMS platform and through
respective depots.
- To ensure the
driver availability for the test and message communicated to him properly
- To ensure that
the driver has gone through the medical test on the appointed date
- To receive the
results for such medical tests and update the system with these results also
inform the drives.
- To forward the
employee file after receiving the satisfactory medical results to the DNRD
functional unit for applying the visa.
Medical Fitness
Test:
- Scheduling for
the medical fitness test based on confirmation from the respective depots.
- To check the
results of above tests and take necessary action in case of any driver found
unfit.
- To track the
status of drivers under follow-up with the medical institutes.
- To maintain and
monitor the database of medical fitness results on timely basis
- To update the
GRPS with the medical fitness test records on timely basis
3. Drivers Family Insurance:
- To coordinate
with the Administration Services department for medical insurance applications
for dependents of the public bus drivers as per client policies and procedures.
- Updating GRPS
with the dependents insurance information.
4. Analysis and Benchmarking:
To benchmark
the medical fitness testing with the international standards specifically for bus
drivers.
To highlight
improvement in the medical fitness test and to suggest any new tests that are
necessary.
To benchmark
the new methods of capturing and monitoring drivers health indicators.
To evaluate the
medical fitness results and health related data in determining drivers health
and lifestyle.
To propose
health improvement programs and awareness among the drivers.
5. Coordinating with the Medical Committee and
Dubai Committee:
- To ensure that all the medical committee cases received and recorded
properly
- To update the records of such cases in order manner and update the final
decision of the Dubai Health Committee for sick leaves more than five days.
6. Automation:
To coordinate with IT department in automation
of manual tasks to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the function.
7. Reporting:
To prepare
relevant reports for better control purpose including the following but not
limited to:
1. No of Medical tests requests received
2. No of medical test already schedules
3. No of appointments in process
4. No of FIT cases in medical tests
5. No of Un-Fit cases in Medical tests
6. No of follow-ups in medical tests
7. The total cost of medical tests
8. The number of applicants missed the tests
8. Archiving:
To properly
archive the medical tests results as per the instructions of the department
Manager, electronically and physically for easy access and retrieval for future
reference.
Requirements
3. KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor in Business Administration or relevant degree in Medical field
from a recognized University.
Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a related field.
Must have
advance Microsoft Excel skills (vlookup, hlookup, index/match, advance sorting,
custom filters, conditional formatting, advanced formulas etc.)
Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for
identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
Computer-literate performer with extensive software proficiency
covering wide variety of applications.
Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring ability
to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects.
