Position Summary
The Engineer is responsible for designing efficient and optimal networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, cloud computing virtual networks, software defined networks, and other data communications systems. As part of a high performing team of IT technologists, engages in technical workgroups, resolves, and makes decisions on complex and high-risk issues, performs research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of infrastructure systems to meet current and future requirements.

- RESPONSIBILITIES and ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Support the development of industrial network standards Collaborating with network lead to design and implement functional company networks. Design and deploy functional networks such as LAN, WAN, and WLAN Configure and install routers, switches, and several other networking devices Monitor network performance on a regular basis Conduct security assessments (with security team) and make recommendations on data/voice network (LAN, WLAN, WAN, DMZ, Internet), disaster recovery, remote access, network appliances, servers, and directory services security -Covering all aspects of firewall administration such as hardware, operating system, encryption tunnels, VPN, day-to- operations of firewall rule sets Perform a wide range of system administration duties on core infrastructure, application, database, and other servers, including engineering, installation, break/fix troubleshooting, data protection and optimization Resolve support issues that have escalated via the local infrastructure Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Create, test, and oversee security measures by implementing network enhancements. Maintain and update the technical reports on a timely basis Suggest improvements to boost the network’s capacity, performance, and scalability. Ensure system uptime and backup for network-related equipment Support to System & security team as required Support audio and visual (AV) technology (Zoom, Teams) Maintaining very high customer satisfaction and a consistently great work experience with all teams
SKILLS and QUALIFICATONS
Applications, or related field Professional certification CCNP, CCIE (advantage) 5+ years’ experience as a network engineer in a fast-moving environment Excellent knowledge of Service Desk, ITIL standards and its processes Hands on experience with Cisco and Palo Alto, platforms Solid background in network and cloud architecture Technical knowledge of Cisco ISE end point security solution Advanced knowledge of network operating systems including Cisco, NXOS and IOS Familiarity with network analysis tools including SolarWinds, PRTG, and Cisco DNA Knowledge of Servers – Dell PowerEdge, Dell VxRail Knowledge of Operating Systems – Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu and Microsoft Windows Servers Knowledge of cloud solution design and deployment Knowledge of VMWare infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, and VMs) Knowledge of KSA data privacy practices and laws Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
