Job Summary
This role aims to work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how GBM storage solutions (IBM Technology) will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business. Being responsible for navigating GBM to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the customer, applying the company strategies and offerings, methods, and models to ensure world-class design and delivery.

A ‘day-in-the life’ of this role may include, but not be limited to…
- Managing clients and defining, confirming, and communicating the differentiated value of IBM’s technology at both the technical and business level.
- Using the solution-selling expertise to identify and engage decision makers and influencers, qualify business opportunities, and respond to clients’ needs to create strategic, long-term partnerships.
- Managing the entire sales process, from RFI/ RFP response preparation, and ensuring delivery against KPIs, with a strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts.
- Collaborating with the broader GBM sales ecosystem, from Marketing to Sales and technical colleagues, to build sales campaigns and incremental pipeline.
- Defining the best practices regarding application and infrastructure deployment related to backup and storage services.
- Developing storage configuration and offerings
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- IT Engineering Diploma
- 5 years of experience in IBM storage sales
- Hands on experience as administrator Storage Arrays (IBM, EMC, NetApp), SAN (Brocade, Cisco), NAS(NetApp), Backup Solutions (IBM Spectrum Protect AKA TSM, NetBackup), Disaster Recovery Solutions
