The 1st Level Team Leader of the Media Platforms team is part of the leadership team of IoT & Broadcast, GSC Romania!
This job role is responsible for the coordination, support, management and execution of reactive maintenance activities to ensure that services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels
Manage the Human Resources in order to plan, estimate, and carry out the required activities to time, quality targets, and in accordance with the company standards, processes.
Fully understand the Operations processes, define preventive activities to monitor the fault apparitions in the maintained platforms, and ensure that the team adheres to this methodology, initiating corrective action where appropriate.
You will:
Staffing and Line Management responsibilities:
- Ensure that resources are made available to undertake the agreed responsibilities and that they are accurately utilized and accounted for.
- Ensure HRMS accuracy, full compliance with Internal Regulations and career and development plans for all staff, Individual Performance Management has conducted for all team personnel in line with HR and Management directives Ericsson ways of working, respecting the HR Calendar.
- Mentor less-experienced colleagues, competence building, knowledge transfer, and information sharing internally and with peers
- Reward and Talent Planning.
- Recruitment, Hiring, and Termination related activities.
- Drive delivery execution: track activities, supervise & handle changes, conflicts & critical issues.
- Handle customer & partner engagement: lead customer relationship building confidence & trust, ensure project progress arranging meetings & customer communications.
- Develop the business, participate in governance meetings.
- Support the delivery of customized Video solutions and products (Video Services), covering several domains and technologies in the Video services area.
Operational responsibilities:
- Event management
- Incident management
- Assurance support activities (troubleshooting)
- Check progress against targets, reporting as vital and acting to resolve deviations and seek continuous improvement.
- Accountable for maintenance of the technical and procedural documentation up to date, complete and stored in such a way to be known and available to all the team members and the management.
- Act as an effective member of the Units Leadership Team, working towards its objectives, including cross-unit and cross-business unit objectives.
Business Competence:
- Video Services business understanding.
- Very good knowledge and understanding of the Managed Services Delivery Model and its processes.
- Extensive experience with the interpretation of quality indicators to detect weaknesses and implement corrective actions.
- A proactive approach to minimize or eliminate the business-critical situations.
- End-user orientation/ Customer orientation with a validated understanding of service providers/operator’s business requirements - be able to build true Customer value.
To be successful in the role you must have:
- Education: Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level
- Minimum years of experience: 3-5 years’ experience on IT&C domain
- Area of expertise – e.g., Media/ Video or IT Cloud & Infrastructure, Network, etc.
- Experience of Customer liaison
- Knowledge sharing & collaboration skills
- Problem solving & creative thinking
- Delivering results & meeting customer expectations
- Analyzing
Will represent a plus:
- Monitoring tools
- Delivery Platforms and Apps (IOS, Android, HTML5)
- Audio and Video coding/decoding technologies.
