The Head of Sales – Network Managed Services is responsible for the Pre-Sales, Sales and business development of MSN. In this role you will be required for developing and driving the business development and sales strategy required to deliver profitable growth across MSN.
This role depends upon a deep understanding of our customers’ business, operations, and objectives, and we search for you who can act with confidence and authority to take accountability to lead and proactively drive sales strategy as one of the key initiatives defined by BCSS while actively involved in making our customers successful and continue to encourage your organization
Key Responsibilities
- Be the primary face and own the Presales, Sales and Business Development towards all Customer Units for Network Managed Services
- Serve as the main point of contact towards CU/BA/Domain Heads for business sales and development
- Drive funnel & hunt for new MSN customers, identify and grow business opportunities for new and existing customers within MSN
- Scale consultative engagement approach (OBA) to grow beyond existing customer base
- Transform the presales approach to become increasingly digitalized & data-driven, using global benchmark data & TCO models to protect value
- Enable feedback loop of market insights & customer demand into portfolio & commercial model evolution
- Proactively pursue contract renewals well in advance of contract expiration and support the CU in customer engagements with highly relevant offerings and value argumentation
- Drive sales funnel jointly with all MA’s and Customer Units
- The smooth transition from presales to delivery whilst meeting customer and business commitments
- Accountable for developing & expanding customer relationships in conjunction with the CU teams
Required Experience
- A proven experience of 15 years or more in technology, telecommunications and/or the IT industry.
- Highly tuned business insight and entrepreneurial approach to complex business environments
- Strong storytelling, communication & spokesperson capabilities to drive understanding of the value created by MS & appetite on CUs - Customers
- Leading, developing and motivating multi focused teams in complex sales and delivery situations including matrix organizations
- Demonstrated experience in engineering, operations, tactical planning and project management
- Ability to establish immediate credibility with stakeholders, build consensus, and achieve goals through influence
- Extensive experience in multiple sales mythologies including The Challenger Sale, Selling with Insights, SPIN and Target Account Selling
- Successful track record of services P&L growth in major accounts, customer units or business areas
- Detailed experience in contract negotiations skills for complex services deals
- Good knowledge of Ericsson business solutions and offerings including Managed Services (IT and Network), Customer Support and NRO / CNS
- Ability to lead in matrix organizational environments whilst handling internal stakeholders effectively
- Support MA Domains in implementing domain delivery model transformation leading to profitable projects with customer satisfaction
Desired Experience
- Proven experience of 10 years in leading and developing teams
- Worked in an Operator / Carrier engineering or operations organization
- Extensive international business experience with Tier 1 and 2 customers
- P&L responsibility for the delivery of complex services business
- Understanding of AI technology & how it enables the data-driven transformation of operations
- Group Function, Market Area or Business Area experience
- Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or alternate
