As a data scientist in Analytics & Business Intelligence team, you will be involved in all stages of the modelling process, from conception to all the stages of model development and finally the presentation of the finished plans. You will constantly be learning, growing, and improving as you find new ways to innovate and develop within your area

Responsibilities

• Analyze data at massive scale, design and develop machine learning models, formulate conclusions, recommendations and insights
• Work with business units to understand data requirements and translate them into predictive models and analytical solutions
• Implement models to uncover patterns and predictions creating business value and innovation
• Conduct statistical analysis and programming using various open source coding languages and statistical software
• Prepare and cleanse data needed for the models and generate meaningful features,
• Maintain proficiency within the data science domain by keeping up with technology and trend shifts
• Collaborate and communicate with project team regarding project progress and issue resolution and suggest changes or improvements

Knowledge & Skills

• BS. or MSc. in a quantitative discipline (Industrial engineering, Computer engineering, Mathematical engineering, Statistics, and alike.)
• Strong passion for pulling your own data, performing analysis and driving initial conclusions
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience and knowledge of machine learning techniques/algorithms
• Analytical project management experience is preferred
• Proven experience and knowledge of each model development life cycle (MDLC)
• Understanding of the theory and statistics behind machine learning techniques/algorithms
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of propensity, churn models and optimization techniques is an asset
• Hands-on experience in Python/ R or Spark is a must
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge to write SQL is an asset
• Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong data analysis, interpretation, data visualization skills and ability to communicate data insights
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work across virtual teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and persuasion skills; good level of written and spoken English
